The STARTUP10 initiative, funded by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and implemented by CIHEAM Bari, aims to foster the exchange of knowledge and technology between young emerging companies from the regions involved and the Italian entrepreneurial business community. The project was extraordinarily successful with its selection call for start-ups from the Mediterranean and Africa, which closed with no less than 735 applications from 22 incubators located in the 10 different countries. The start-ups are active in the green and blue economy sectors, demonstrating a fervent interest in innovation and international cooperation. The applications received cover a wide range of sectors, including ICT, precision agriculture, product innovation, technology applied to farm management, sustainable energy, waste management, sustainable aquaculture and fisheries, business services and agro-tech. This variety demonstrates the richness and diversity of the Mediterranean and African business ecosystem.
From these, 140 promising start-ups have been selected to start a coaching program leading to the identification of collaborative projects with Italian companies. What does the StartUp10 Community do?
