Mediterranean Innovation Agrifood Week is the annual event promoted by CIHEAM Bari that brings together organisations, businesses, startups, people, ideas, experiences and skills to build innovative visions for sustainable food systems in the Mediterranean and Africa with and for young people.
The 4th edition of the Mediterranean Innovation Agrifood Week took place in Bari from 26 to 29 November 2024, gathering representatives from 14 countries, 34 Business Support Organisations (i.e. incubators, accelerators and business clusters), 22 startups from the Mediterranean and Africa, mostly participating to STARTUP10 project.
Businesses, young people, international, national and local organisations and institutions discussed the role of BSOs in the development of the innovation ecosystem in Africa, the potential of public-private partnerships in international cooperation for the transition to sustainable food systems, the value of Open Innovation in business change processes and the need to create enabling ecosystems tapping into the potential of youth in the Mediterranean and Africa.
